In Their Words …
" They are very well-organized, and they are a well-thought-out group of individuals who are going to make sure their concerns are heard. "

House Speaker Michael E. Busch

The Maryland League of Conservation Voters' 2011 Environmental Scorecard is out!

scorecard_coverWe are proud to present our 2011 Environmental Scorecard as a reminder that what our legislators do right now affects the quality of life for Marylanders for years to come. Good environmental policy is good fiscal policy. This scorecard tells the story of which legislators were able to make that connection and which ones did not.

By using this scorecard, you've taken the first step toward protecting Maryland's air, land and water -- knowing how your elected officials voted.

Send a personalized email telling your legislator how proud or disappointed you are with their score. Email your Senator or Delegate today!

Click once and release on any shaded district to reveal the district number. When the hand icon browses over a dot on the map, it becomes a pointed finger icon. Click once to reveal information about a legislator represented by the dot on the map. A weblink at the bottom of each legislator's window takes you to their detailed score information on our website. Click once elsewhere on the map to close the window.

Navigation controls (zoom in/out, panning) are located at the top left corner of the map. Click "view larger map" below each map window if you would like to see a larger google map representation. Due to the amount of information on these maps, some data is hidden until you zoom in closer to a district. A legislator's location on the map based on local district office information, with some adjustment made if the office address is located in an area outside of a district/sub-district.
