Maryland LCV will present a State Legislative Review of the green legislation passed in Annapolis and a conversation on how electing pro-conservation candidates really matters.

2008 Environmental Legislative Wrap-up
state_house2.jpg At midnight on April 7, the 2008 session of the Maryland General Assembly adjourned. Thanks to you, the Maryland League of Conservation Voters was successful in keeping the environment front and center for lawmakers.

This session, we made major strides in increasing energy efficiency and protecting our shorelines and the Chesapeake Bay. The Maryland League of Conservation Voters (LCV) was very pleased to have the strong support of the O’Malley Administration, which introduced legislation addressing three of our environmental priorities and fought for the Global Warming Solutions Act.

Development Associate Position Available

We seek a Development Associate to assist the Executive Director and Deputy Director in implementing aspects of overall fundraising strategy. Major responsibilities will include assisting with the major donor program, expanding the monthly donor program, helping to write grant proposals and reports, research potential funders and donors, and organizing house parties.
